History of the Restoration of our 1948 MG TC "Aggie"

"Aggie" was purchased in 1972 as scrap. Complete restoration began early in 1974.

Due to employment change and relocation to Natal Midlands
late in 1974, restoration ceased until 1988.
An original MG TC engine was sourced from a farmerwho used the engine as a water pump.
This engine was subsequently overhauled before being fitted.
The body timber frame was completely renewed, as also the full restoration of the chassis, differential and gearbox.
Restoration was completed in 1993 - coincidingwith my retirement and return to our home in Cape Townand ultimately to Hermanus in 1998.
